The patient, suffering from an unstable mental state, had swallowed personal hygiene items, prompting his transfer from Hue Mental Hospital to Hue Central Hospital due to signs of digestive complications. A team of doctors swiftly performed an endoscopic intervention, safely removing all foreign objects without complications.

Following the procedure, the patient's condition has stabilized, and he is recovering well, continuing his treatment at the hospital. This update was provided by doctors at Hue Central Hospital on 15/4, five days after the intervention.
A representative from Hue Central Hospital described the incident as a rare clinical case in Vietnam. Swallowing large objects carries a high risk of them becoming lodged in the digestive tract, scratching the mucosa, or causing perforation or obstruction if not detected and treated in time.
