Father and son found dead at private residence

Nguyen Hoai Nam, 45, and his 8-year-old son were discovered deceased under unusual circumstances at their home in Hung Nguyen commune, with authorities suspecting poisoning.

Around 9 PM on 17/12/2024, residents found Nguyen Hoai Nam and his son motionless at their home in Hung Nguyen commune, Nghe An province.

Upon inspecting the scene, authorities immediately suspected poison caused the deaths.

Nam and his wife were divorced; his son, a grade two student, lived with him.

Local authorities confirmed Nam had no known conflicts with others recently.

Hung Nguyen Commune Police are collaborating with professional units of the Nghe An Provincial Police to investigate the incident.
