The, 40, residing in Duc Minh commune, has been prosecuted and detained for intentional injury and illegal use of military weapons, under articles 134 and 304 of the Penal Code.

According to the investigation, around 9:20 p.m. on 7/8, The and some friends were drinking at a neighbor's house in Sam Van Hoi village, Duc Minh commune. Ho arrived on a motorbike, intentionally bumping into The's sitting area.

The angrily questioned, "Why did you hit me? What if the brakes failed?"

While they were talking, Ho received a phone call from his wife asking if he was home yet. After answering, Ho told The, "I have a wife and children to care for, you don't have a wife or children to worry about." He continued to tease The about being old and unmarried. An argument ensued, escalating into shouting.

During the dispute, Ho stood up and punched The in the face, causing him to fall backward. The got up and tried to punch back but missed, then grabbed an iron bar to attack. Others intervened, separating them. Both men then left the scene.

Authorities allege that The, still enraged upon returning home, took a knife and went to Ho's house "to talk". He found Ho standing in the yard and slashed him multiple times on the head and neck, causing an 8% injury. During the struggle, Ho also injured The, causing a 1% injury.
