Man admits to harming 12-year-old girl

Le Hoang Minh, 38, admitted to police that he befriended and enticed a 12-year-old girl to commit obscene acts at a private cafe.

On 23/3, the An Giang Provincial Police announced that Minh had been temporarily detained for investigation into the rape of a person under 16 years old.

According to the investigation, Minh met the 12-year-old girl through a dating application, then continued to communicate via Zalo. On 18/3, Minh messaged the girl to meet her in Long Xuyen ward. He then enticed her, drove her to a private cafe in Dong Thinh 9 hamlet, and committed obscene acts.

The girl's relatives discovered the incident and reported it to the authorities.

On 21/3, police summoned Minh for questioning.
