Around 5:30 on 4/3, one young man covered his motorcycle's license plate with a mask and carried a friend on Provincial Road 624. At the same time, one other person drove a motorcycle carrying a friend, despite not having a driver's license. All 4 individuals did not wear helmets, weaving erratically and swerving in front of a convoy transporting new recruits from Nghia Hanh commune to 24/3 Square (Tu Nghia commune).
Around 8:30, this group continued to drive motorcycles recklessly, obstructing a convoy from Regiment 28, Division 10 (Ministry of National Defense), which was transporting recruits from 24/3 Square to Gia Lai as the convoy passed through Nghia Hanh commune.
Nghia Hanh Commune Police then coordinated with Duc Pho Traffic Police Station - Area 4 (Quang Ngai Provincial Police) to investigate. During questioning by the police, the young men admitted to the violations, stating that their reckless driving in front of the convoy was to "cheer on" a friend departing for military service.
The commune police handed over the case files, the individuals involved, and 2 motorcycles to Duc Pho Traffic Police Station for processing. According to authorities, the acts of reckless driving, blocking vehicles, and obstructing the convoy of new recruits not only violate traffic safety regulations but also pose a potential risk of accidents.
