Ho Chi Minh City Police on 20/3 temporarily detained Le Hien, 28; Tran Van Chung, 32; Dang Van Nam, 35; and Diep Van Khanh, 42. They face investigation for intentional injury and disturbing public order.
Authorities initiated this action while investigating a scuffle and slashing incident involving the four individuals inside a rock quarry in Mien Dong commune, Thuong Tan commune.

Initial investigations reveal that on the afternoon of 19/3, a conflict erupted between Hien's group and Khanh, escalating into an argument and scuffle. Hien, Chung, and Nam then chased and attacked Khanh. In self-defense, Khanh used a weapon to slash Chung and Nam on the head and back.
A resident filmed the incident and shared it on social media.
The Criminal Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City, in coordination with Thuong Tan Commune Police, subsequently arrested three members of Hien's group. Khanh later surrendered to the police.
Initial tests confirmed all four individuals were negative for drugs. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
