The warnings are displayed in three forms: in-app, on the search bar, and via email. Specifically, when using the app, prompts will appear to alert users about scam risks.
The second form is search bar warnings. When users enter sensitive keywords such as "easy job, high salary", "get free gifts", "reward link", "urgent recruitment", or "online lover" into the search bar, TikTok will display a warning notification along with a link to the H5 page #LuaDaoTrucTuyen. This page provides guidance and advice from experts and creators on how to prevent scams.
Additionally, the platform sends emails to user accounts, updating information on common scam tactics and prevention methods. The warning system focuses on the three most prevalent forms today: impersonation, fake giveaways, and romance scams. The warning messages are concise, easy to understand, and appear periodically to foster a natural habit of vigilance.
TikTok stated this is the first time it has synchronized the delivery of online scam warnings directly on the platform, helping users verify information before sharing personal data or interacting with suspicious content.

The campaign will further expand with three hero videos and two livestream workshops on TikTok to maintain discussions on online safety and spread scam prevention skills within the community.
Previously, in October, TikTok collaborated with the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department (A05, Ministry of Public Security) and the National Cyber Security Association (NCA) to launch the "Anti-Online Scam 2025" campaign. This activity aims to raise community awareness about online safety, helping users identify and prevent increasingly sophisticated forms of scams.
TikTok is a short-form video platform aiming to inspire creativity and provide positive entertainment experiences for users. The app currently has offices in various locations such as the US, UK, France, Germany, Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea, and Japan.
