Savannah Silbernagel, 27, from Georgia, once weighed 150 kg. Over two years, she successfully lost 89 kg, achieving a slimmer physique of 61 kg. However, instead of celebrating her transformation, Savannah revealed an unexpected struggle: she deeply misses the sense of security she felt when she was obese.

According to Savannah, the most profound shock was losing her "invisibility." When she was heavier, she was often overlooked, a state that paradoxically brought her peace of mind. She could walk alone at night or go to Walmart late without any apprehension.
"Who would want to kidnap a 150 kg girl? But now it's different; I no longer dare to go out alone," Savannah told the New York Post.
The attention from the opposite sex, rather than being flattering, makes her feel suffocated. Savannah also grew tired of conversations, regardless of their initial topic, eventually shifting to her weight.
"I miss intimate conversations that didn't turn into interviews. I miss the feeling of not being stared at, commented on, or judged for my body," she expressed.

This public pressure extends even to mealtimes. If Savannah chooses healthy food, people stare, trying to uncover her secret. Conversely, if she occasionally eats junk food, she receives whispers of judgment like, "she'll definitely gain the weight back." She admitted that after losing weight, she faced more psychological issues regarding her appearance than before.
Savannah's story sparked a lively debate on social media. Many expressed empathy, suggesting that society needs to be more sensitive and understanding towards individuals striving to change themselves, rather than merely judging their appearance.
