Following the discussion session on the afternoon of 21/1, Pham Gia Tuc, Head of the Central Party Office, announced that the Presidium had circulated ballots that morning to solicit feedback from delegate delegations regarding the proposed agenda adjustment. All 40 out of 40 delegate delegations concurred with the draft agenda, leading the Presidium to report this consensus to the Congress.
Tran Cam Tu, Permanent Secretary of the Secretariat, then presided over the vote. The result showed 100% of delegates unanimously approved the adjusted agenda.
Previously, the Congress was scheduled to take place from 19/1 to 25/1.

At an international press conference on 14/1, Tran Cam Tu provided information about the 14th National Party Congress. He stated that the personnel preparation for the 14th Central Committee was conducted by the 13th Central Committee and the 14th Congress Personnel Subcommittee in strict adherence to Party regulations, the principle of democratic centralism, legal provisions, and ensuring a process that was "scientific, rigorous, democratic, objective, transparent, and promoted democracy and intellect."
Furthermore, the personnel for the 14th term ensures a balanced approach between standards and structure, continuity and stability, innovation and development, expertise and creativity, and practical capacity. Specifically, the personnel work for the 14th term prioritizes quality, the effectiveness of work output, and dedication as key metrics for evaluating, assigning, and utilizing cadres.

The 14th Central Committee is expected to comprise 200 members, including 180 official members and 20 alternate members.
