250 projects ready for groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies

The Ministry of Construction has reviewed and compiled a list of over 250 major projects nationwide that are ready for groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies around August 19th.

The groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies, commemorating the 80th National Day, are scheduled to take place at the National Exhibition Construction Center (Dong Anh commune, Hanoi) and will be broadcast live to 80 other project sites. The ceremonies will be televised on Vietnam Television and broadcast on local radio and television stations.

At a government meeting on August 12th regarding the preparations, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh praised the collaboration of relevant agencies. He emphasized that these events not only celebrate a significant national holiday but also aim to inspire, motivate, and foster a spirit of dedication, creating momentum for national development.

The Prime Minister instructed agencies to continue their work, meticulously review and select truly exemplary projects, and organize ceremonies that are both dignified and economical. He also stressed the importance of recognizing and rewarding outstanding contributions during these events.

Previously, the Prime Minister issued an official dispatch requesting provinces, cities, and relevant corporations to thoroughly review and finalize investment, construction, and inspection procedures for projects to ensure they meet the requirements for groundbreaking and inauguration. The deadline for submitting this information to the Ministry of Construction was August 13th.

Among the infrastructure projects slated for groundbreaking are Gia Binh Airport (Bac Ninh), the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway, Hanoi's ring road 4, the expansion of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh and Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressways, as well as numerous social housing projects, and cultural, educational, and economic facilities across the country.
