30 driving test centers meet requirements

The Traffic Police Department has announced 30 type 1 and 2 centers nationwide that are qualified to conduct driving tests, with the highest number in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

Ho Chi Minh City has 6 qualified driving test centers: Thanh Cong Driving Test Center, Hoc Mon Driving Test Center, Cu Chi Driving Test Center, Binh Duong Vocational Education and Driving Test Center, the Vocational Training and Driving Test Center under the People's Police College II, and Hoang Gia Driving Test Center.

Hanoi has 5 centers: the Driving Test Center of Bus Transport Company No. 2, the Driving Test Center under Ha An Transport Service and Materials Joint Stock Company, the Hanoi Driving License Issuance Test Center - a branch of Hanoi Transport Corporation, and Duc Thinh Driving Test and Licensing Center.

Gia Lai has 4 qualified centers, Thai Nguyen and Quang Ninh have 3, and the remaining centers are located in provinces such as Cao Bang, Phu Tho, Quang Binh, Quang Ngai, Dak Lak, Dong Nai, and An Giang.

All 30 centers are authorized to test for licenses such as A1, A, automatic B, manual B, and C1. Some are also authorized for D2, D, and CE licenses.

Type 1 and 2 driving test centers are categorized based on facilities and the scope of license issuance. Type 1 centers are larger and can issue licenses for a wider range of vehicles, including trucks and buses.

Type 2 centers are smaller and equipped to test and issue licenses for common vehicles like motorcycles, cars, and light trucks.

From 1/3, traffic police nationwide began taking over driver's license testing and issuance, license renewals, international driving permit issuance, and other related tasks from the transport sector.

According to statistics, immediately after the transfer, over 705,105 people nationwide had completed driver training but had not yet taken the driving test. This included 340,483 people for car licenses and 364,622 for motorcycle licenses.

Between late April and mid-June, over 10 provinces and cities resumed driving tests, mainly those with fewer applications. The two major cities, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, have also restarted testing.
