7-seater car burns to frame while parked

A 7-seater car burst into flames, leaving only its metal frame, while parked on the exit ramp of Thanh Tri bridge on the afternoon of 10/7.

On the afternoon of 10/7, around 13:10, a 7-seater Hyundai with Thai Nguyen license plates was traveling on Thanh Tri bridge towards Bac Ninh. After crossing Thanh Tri bridge and nearing the exit to national highway 5, the driver parked the vehicle on the roadside to rest at a nearby drink stall. Suddenly, the car caught fire at the rear, accompanied by several explosions.

A witness reported that the fire initially started small with minimal smoke, and the owner managed to extinguish it. However, a few minutes later, the flames reignited fiercely, rapidly spreading throughout the entire vehicle. Lacking effective firefighting measures, the car continued to smolder until after 15:00 before finally burning out.

The incident caused significant traffic congestion, stretching over 2 km from Bay bridge towards Bac Ninh, as many drivers slowed down to take photos while passing the burning vehicle. The exact cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
