The Vam Cong Industrial Park project is strategically located at the southeastern gateway of Long Xuyen urban area. Its proximity to key infrastructure, including the western North-South and Chau Doc-Can Tho-Soc Trang expressways, provides direct connectivity to My Thoi port. This location facilitates efficient transportation of goods to major economic hubs such as TP HCM, Tran De port, and other significant economic centers.

The industrial park is designed to attract high-tech industries, food and beverage processing, agro-fisheries, logistics, electronics, and information technology sectors. This initiative is expected to create employment opportunities for approximately 7,800 workers.
Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy General Director of T&T Group, stated that the project is planned as a 21st-century economic model integrating ecological principles with high technology. Nearly one-quarter of the project's area is dedicated to green spaces and water bodies, fostering a sustainable production environment.

Ho Van Mung, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that once operational, the industrial park will serve as a new growth driver for the region. It will create jobs for local residents and attract additional secondary investors, contributing to the province's economic development.
Following its merger with Kien Giang, An Giang province currently operates five industrial parks, with several other investment projects already approved.
