The fire-affected area was a complex of rental warehouses and workshops, totaling about 6,000 square meters, primarily constructed with steel frames and corrugated iron roofs. |
Relatives of individuals believed to be inside the wood workshop gathered at the scene, attempting to make contact. Ambulances were on standby outside as authorities later discovered one fatality within the blaze.
Firefighters approached the scene from multiple directions, spraying water to prevent the fire from spreading.
The rapid spread of the fire, which quickly engulfed the entire warehouse, was attributed to the abundance of wood and mica plastic materials inside. The blaze also generated significant toxic gases. Strong winds at the time further accelerated the fire's progression.

To combat the blaze, authorities deployed 12 fire trucks, two fire robots, and nearly 100 officers and soldiers from eight regional fire teams. Beyond utilizing specialized vehicles for water streams, excavators were brought in to clear paths and reach smoldering areas deep inside the complex.
By approximately 8:00 AM, the fire was fully contained, allowing firefighters to enter the workshop and cool down hot spots. The extensive firefighting operation lasted for several hours, with crews employing not only water but also fresh concrete. The corrugated iron workshop structures ultimately collapsed completely due to the blaze.
The fire, which raged from night until morning, led authorities to seal off a section of Pham Tu street. This closure, coinciding with the morning rush hour, resulted in significant traffic congestion in the surrounding area.
During the firefighting efforts, authorities discovered one deceased victim at the scene. The victim's identity is currently being verified.
