Car crashes into multiple motorbikes in Hanoi

A female driver operating a car on Vo Thi Sau street collided with a motorbike before crashing into several other motorbikes parked on the sidewalk.

According to authorities, on the afternoon of 1/1, a car driven by a female driver on Vo Thi Sau street collided with a motorbike operated by a man who was crossing the road.

The forceful collision sent the motorbike flying onto the sidewalk. The car then crashed into several other motorbikes parked on the sidewalk in front of a coffee shop.

The accident left the car's front end severely damaged, its airbags deployed, and a rear tire burst. The man operating the motorbike was injured, and some other motorbikes sustained heavy damage.

Traffic Police Team 4 (Hanoi Police Traffic Police Department) dispatched officers to the scene to handle the accident. The cause of the incident is currently being investigated.

According to statistics from the Traffic Police Department, on 1/1, the country recorded 49 traffic accidents, resulting in 18 deaths and 41 injuries. Compared to the same day in 2025, this marks a decrease of 24 accidents, 23 fatalities, and 2 injuries.

On the first day of 2026, road traffic police inspected and processed over 10,000 traffic safety violations, temporarily seizing 53 cars, over 2,400 motorbikes, and 155 other vehicles, with 2,056 cases involving alcohol violations. Also on that day, waterway traffic police inspected and handled 162 cases, while railway traffic police handled 16 cases.
