Tractor-trailer wheel detaches, critically injuring woman

A cement truck traveling on national route 53 unexpectedly lost a wheel, which rolled across the road and struck a roadside store, critically injuring a 44-year-old woman.

Driver Nguyen Van Ro, 34, was operating a tractor-trailer registered in Dong Thap province, carrying cement on national route 53. He was traveling from the center of Vinh Long province towards Tra Vinh ward yesterday afternoon. As the vehicle passed through Long Ho commune, the left front wheel of the trailer's axle suddenly detached, rolled into the left lane, and collided with two motorbikes parked roadside, causing damage.
