Fireworks illuminate to celebrate the new year

From 23h45, fireworks lit up the skies over Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, and many other provinces, welcoming 2026 to the cheers of residents and tourists.

Fireworks erupted at 23h45 in the My Dinh National Stadium area, Tu Liem ward, Ha Noi.

This year, the capital launched fireworks 15 minutes earlier, from 23h45 on 31/12/2025 to 0h on 1/1/2026, in the wards of Hoan Kiem, Hai Ba Trung, Tu Liem, Tay Ho, and Ha Dong.

Residents on apartment rooftops watched and recorded the fireworks display at My Dinh.

In Hoan Kiem ward, there were two fireworks locations: in front of the Ha Noi Moi Newspaper headquarters and in front of the Ha Noi Post Office.

Ha Noi residents eagerly used their phones to capture the fireworks moment over Ho Guom.

At exactly 0h, fireworks simultaneously burst across the sky of Ho Chi Minh City.

This year, the city launched about 2,500 fireworks to welcome the new year from four locations: the beginning of the Sai Gon River Tunnel, Dam Sen Cultural Park (Binh Thoi ward), the New City Center Area (Binh Duong ward), and Bai Sau Central Square (Vung Tau ward).

This year, about 100 special fireworks were launched, creating effects such as rice blossoms, azaleas, hearts, and Mickey Mouse shapes, with more vibrant colors than in previous years.
