On the morning of 21/4, a container truck with a Ho Chi Minh City license plate was traveling on National Highway 13 from Ho Chi Minh City towards Dong Nai. The vehicle collided with the rear of a semi-trailer upon reaching the intersection with Nguyen Van Linh street, Minh Hung ward, in what was formerly Binh Phuoc province.

The impact caused the container truck's driver to swerve right, crashing into 4 motorbikes parked on the sidewalk in front of a coffee shop. The truck only came to a stop after hitting and breaking an electrical pole. Nearby residents quickly broke open the cabin door and rushed the driver, who was seriously injured, to the emergency room.
Nguyen Quy, who lives near the accident site, reported hearing a loud crash from inside his house. Upon rushing out, he observed several motorbikes trapped under the container truck. The front of the truck was severely damaged after striking the electrical pole. Residents assisted in extracting the driver from the cabin.
According to eyewitnesses, the semi-trailer in front unexpectedly reduced its speed to avoid a woman crossing the road. This sudden braking led to the trailing container truck colliding with its rear.
