Presenting the report on the documents submitted to the Party's XIV Congress, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that Vietnam will establish a new growth model based on a knowledge economy, digital economy, green economy, and circular economy. Growth must primarily rely on productivity, quality, efficiency, and innovation, gradually reducing dependence on resource exploitation and cheap labor. |

International guests attended the opening session.
Bui Thi Quynh Van, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Commission, on behalf of the XIV Congress secretariat, stated that as of 19/1/2026, the Congress had received 559 congratulatory letters and messages from 109 political parties, six international and regional organizations, 16 individuals, 122 people's organizations, and 306 overseas Vietnamese associations.
The Congress received congratulatory messages from ruling communist parties and ruling parties in neighboring countries and traditional friends, including the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Communist Party of China, the Cambodian People's Party, the Communist Party of Cuba, and the Workers' Party of Korea. The Congress also received 31 congratulatory messages from Asian and Oceanian countries; 26 messages from European countries; 27 messages from American countries; 20 messages from Middle Eastern and African countries; and six messages from international and regional organizations.

The Congress was attended by 1,586 delegates, representing more than 5.6 million Party members nationwide. Also present were heroic Vietnamese mothers; 16 prominent intellectuals, artists, religious dignitaries, and youth representatives of Vietnam; and ambassadors and chief representatives of foreign countries and international organizations in Vietnam. |
