On the morning of 27/7, at the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee headquarters, Trinh Manh Linh, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission, presented the Secretariat's decision on personnel work.
According to the decision, Tam will join the Executive Committee and Standing Committee, serving as Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. He is also nominated for election as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2026-2031 term.
Linh praised the new Deputy Secretary of Quang Ngai, noting his deep expertise, extensive experience, innovative thinking, and history of holding important positions. He urged Tam to quickly grasp the local situation and work with the provincial leadership to implement central policies and directives.

Born in 1981 in Hung Yen, Nguyen Duc Tam holds a master's degree in economics. He began his career at the Ministry of Planning and Investment in 2003, working in the Department of National Economic Synthesis.
During his more than 20 years there, he successively held positions including Head of General Affairs, Head of Secretariat; Deputy Director of the Business Registration Management Agency; Chief of Staff of the Ministry; Director of the Department of Local and Territorial Economy; and Director of the Department of National Economic Synthesis.
In 10/2024, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment. From early 2025, after this agency merged with the Ministry of Finance, he served as Deputy Minister of Finance.
At the Ministry of Finance, he is responsible for internal financial affairs; local and territorial socio-economic development plans; private enterprise development, and collective economy; he also directs the National Innovation Center.
Previously, Nguyen Hoang Giang, Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee, was assigned by the Politburo to serve as Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission starting 23/7.
