Dozens of tons of steel fall from tractor-trailer, crushing motorcycle

A tractor-trailer traveling on the road unexpectedly dropped dozens of tons of steel, crushing a motorcycle; the driver fortunately escaped injury.

Around 10 PM yesterday, a tractor-trailer with a TP HCM license plate, towing a trailer carrying dozens of tons of steel, was traveling on National Highway 1, heading towards the Mekong Delta.

As it reached the section passing My Yen commune, the trailer unexpectedly tilted, causing dozens of tons of steel to fall onto the road and crush a Dong Thap province-plated motorcycle traveling in the same direction.

The man on the motorcycle escaped injury, but the motorcycle was completely flattened and deformed.

Traffic police were present at the scene to regulate traffic and prevent congestion. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
