Around 10 PM on 28/4, an unidentified man and woman were traveling together on a Hanoi-plated motorcycle on the Southern arterial road, heading from Ha Dong to Thanh Oai.
Upon reaching Tam Hung commune, their motorcycle collided with a dump truck traveling in the same direction. The collision resulted in the immediate deaths of both the man and woman.
At the time of the accident, there was a thunderstorm, making the road slippery.
At the scene, the two victims and their motorcycle were found immediately behind the dump truck.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Later that evening, another accident occurred on the same road, approximately 500 m from the first incident. This involved two motorcycles and sent one person to the emergency room.
Hanoi's Southern arterial road is 41,5 km long, 40 m wide, and has 6 lanes. The road begins at the intersection with Phuc La - Van Phu road in Kien Hung ward and ends by connecting with National Highway 1A, below Cau Gie, in Chuyen My commune.
