Hanoi witnessed a spectacular fireworks display on the evening of 28/4, with the first low-altitude fireworks launched at 20:10. This vibrant event marked the beginning of the "Echoes of the Fatherland" art program at My Dinh stadium. The display celebrated several significant anniversaries: the success of the elections for National Assembly deputies, Term XVI, and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (30/4/1975); the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day (1/5/1886); the 72nd anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (7/5/1954); the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (19/5/1890); and the 67th anniversary of the opening of the Ho Chi Minh Trail – the traditional day of the Truong Son Corps (19/5/1959).

The show featured a large quantity of high-altitude, low-altitude, and pyrotechnic fireworks. Clusters of these fireworks were visible over buildings and the elevated Beltway 3, creating a stunning panorama across the city.

At 22:40, 900 high-altitude fireworks, 60 low-altitude fireworks displays, and 60 pyrotechnic fireworks displays were launched sequentially.

Pyrotechnic fireworks were arranged on the roof of grandstand B, while high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks were set up at the F1 race track.

Compared to the fireworks display in 1/2026, the launch sites were expanded at the My Dinh National Stadium area and the F1 race track.

Thao Vi and Trinh Tu, two young people present at CV1 park from 20:00 to watch the fireworks, said that despite the sudden thunderstorm, they stayed to witness the most beautiful display.

At CV1 conditioning park (next to Hanoi Children's Palace), hundreds of residents arrived early. Many families brought tables, chairs, and food, waiting together to enjoy the show.
