Upon receiving the information, Traffic Police Team No. 3 initiated an investigation. Using an AI camera system, authorities precisely traced the vehicle's route, noting the front of the car displayed a Hung Yen province license plate, while the rear displayed a Ninh Binh province license plate.
Traffic police identified the driver as a 38-year-old man residing in Hung Yen and summoned him for questioning. At the police station, he admitted his red electric car was only registered with a Hung Yen province license plate. Fearing detection and traffic camera fines, he deliberately took a license plate from another vehicle and attached it to the rear of his car to evade detection.
Based on Decree No. 168/2024, Traffic Police Team No. 3 issued an administrative violation record against the male driver for operating a vehicle with a license plate inconsistent with its registration certificate. The driver faces a fine of 23 million VND and a deduction of 10 points from his driving license.
