At about 3:30 p.m., a fire broke out on the first floor of a four-story house, approximately 70 square meters, located on Le Hong Phong street, Vuon Lai ward, about 200 meters from Ly Thai To Seven-Way Intersection. The ground floor of the building was rented out as a coffee shop, and it was flanked by a row of bustling tube houses, offices, and commercial stores.
Upon noticing the incident, two baristas and other occupants inside the house quickly fled outside to safety. Thick smoke billowed from the balconies, spreading to the windows on the upper floors. Hung, who was near the scene, reported that when black smoke enveloped the windows, neighbors and coffee shop staff shouted loudly to alert those on upper floors and customers, urging them to evacuate. "The intense heat caused the front balcony railings and window panes to shatter and fall, but no one was hit," Hung stated.
A fire police team, located two kilometers away, quickly dispatched fire trucks and nearly ten firefighters to the scene. Firefighters used hoses to douse the flames on the first floor, while other personnel focused on containing the fire's spread.

The blaze was extinguished in approximately ten minutes, resulting in no casualties. Some property inside the house was destroyed. The walls and windows were blackened by smoke. The initial cause is believed to be an electrical short circuit that ignited furniture on the first floor.
