Firefighters rescue four trapped in Hanoi fashion store blaze

Firefighters quickly rescued four people from a fashion store fire on Nguyen Luong Bang Street on the evening of 14/8.

Around 19h, a fire erupted on the first floor of a three-story fashion store, with a rooftop terrace, covering an area of approximately 45 square meters at 104B Nguyen Luong Bang Street, Dong Da Ward, Hanoi.

The fire spread rapidly, fueled by clothes and fabric, generating thick, toxic smoke that enveloped the entire building.

The Hanoi City Police Command and Information Center dispatched six fire trucks from Firefighting and Rescue Team No. 7, 9, and 10, along with nearly 40 firefighters, who promptly arrived at the scene.

The Police Department for Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue command also deployed two command vehicles and one equipment truck to the scene to direct operations.

Firefighters, equipped with multi-purpose demolition tools, breathing apparatus, and specialized protective gear, navigated through the dense smoke to reach the upper floors. Upon locating the victims, rescue personnel reassured them, provided guidance, and moved the four individuals to the open rooftop terrace to prevent smoke inhalation.

Simultaneously with the rescue efforts, another firefighting team utilized smoke extraction equipment and sprayed water on the first floor to contain the blaze and prevent its spread to upper levels.

On-site forces, including Dong Da Ward Police, the Military Command, Civil Defense, and local security personnel, coordinated closely to manage traffic and ensure security around the hazardous area.

By 20h35, the fire was completely extinguished. Authorities safely rescued and brought down the four trapped victims. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Around 15h on the same day, another fire occurred at 189 Hoang Hoa Tham Alley, Ngoc Ha Ward. Firefighters rescued one woman trapped on the 5th floor of a building.
