Hai Phong fire department rescues two from Tet house blaze

On the morning of the first day of Tet, Hai Phong's Fire Prevention and Fighting and Search and Rescue Police Department successfully rescued a woman and a child trapped in a burning three-story house.

At approximately 6:53 AM on 17/2, the 114 Center of the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Search and Rescue Police Department (Hai Phong City Police) received a report of a fire. The incident occurred at house number 30, block 22, Thai Phien street, Gia Vien ward, on the first day of Tet Binh Ngo.

The fire originated on the ground floor of the house, which had a floor area of about 50 square meters. The blaze intensified rapidly, trapping a woman and a child inside.

Fire Fighting and Search and Rescue Team Area one immediately dispatched two specialized vehicles and dozens of officers. They coordinated with the Gia Vien Ward Police to access the scene.

A reconnaissance team entered the house to search for and evacuate the victims. Concurrently, the firefighting team sprayed water to extinguish the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring houses.

By 7:15 AM, the fire was extinguished, and rescue forces safely brought the two individuals out. The fire's spread was contained within an area of about 3 square meters.

Earlier on the first day of Tet, another fire broke out at the scrap yard of the Vento shoe factory (Nhat Viet Co., Ltd.), located at 132 Cat Bi street, Hai An district.

The factory had ceased operations before Tet and had liquidated its machinery. Fire Police quickly responded, bringing the fire under control and preventing any human casualties.

The cause of both fires is currently under investigation.
