For vehicles traveling from Can Tho to Ca Mau, they will start from the IC5 interchange (Vi Thuy commune, Can Tho city), proceed to the IC12 interchange (Ho Thi Ky commune, Ca Mau), and then follow road signs to exit the expressway.
Conversely, vehicles from Ca Mau or An Giang will follow the Southern Coastal Corridor (Trans-Asia Highway) to the IC12 interchange, then turn onto the expressway as directed.

The newly opened expressway section cost over 17,150 billion VND to construct. It is part of the nearly 111 km Can Tho - Ca Mau project, which features 4 lanes and a total investment of over 27,500 billion VND. My Thuan Project Management Board is the investor.
The maximum speed on the main route is 80 km/h, with a minimum of 60 km/h. At interchange ramps, the maximum speed is 40 km/h. Motorcycles, rudimentary vehicles, and pedestrians are prohibited from using the expressway.
Previously, on 22/12/2025, the 37,65 km Can Tho - Hau Giang section opened to traffic. With the entire route now operational, travel time from Ho Chi Minh city to Ca Mau will be approximately 3,5–4 hours, nearly halving the journey compared to National Highway 1.
