Pham Van Hoa, Chairman of Muong Long Commune People's Committee, stated that from 31/8 to 1/9, the mountain in the Trung Tam village area experienced continuous landslides. Soil and rocks fell, burying the 5-meter-wide road from Muong Long Sky Gate to Sa Lay, Tham Hang, and Tham Hoc villages, making travel difficult for local residents.

On 2/9, authorities began mobilizing machinery and personnel to clear the soil and rocks, free the site, and open a temporary service road along the stream for residents to use.

According to the commune chairman, the large volume of fallen soil and rocks covers many areas, so handling requires suitable technical solutions and resources. The locality is reporting and proposing to the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies to find long-term solutions, ensuring traffic safety.

Authorities advise residents not to enter areas at risk of landslides, especially during rain or when unusual signs appear on mountain slopes.

Muong Long is located at an altitude of approximately 1,500 m, with a cool climate, beautiful mountain scenery, and plum blossom seasons. It is one of the famous tourist destinations in western Nghe An. Tourists often visit to explore nature, experience the culture and cuisine of ethnic communities, and "hunt clouds".
