Lien Khuong Airport, serving Da Lat in Lam Dong province, has resumed international operations, welcoming its first international flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on the morning of 2/9. This arrival was followed by the departure of AirAsia flight AK572 from Da Lat to Kuala Lumpur about 40 minutes later, restoring regular international air service between Da Lat and the Malaysian capital. The recommencement of this route offers greater convenience for Malaysian and international tourists visiting Da Lat, while also strengthening connectivity between Lam Dong province and Malaysia and other Southeast Asian markets.

The restoration of this air route, coinciding with National Day on 2/9, plays a role in diversifying the international tourist market, promoting Da Lat as a destination, and enhancing its links with regional tourism hubs, according to the Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The airport's runway and taxiway repair project was inaugurated and put into use on 19/8. Following the completion of these upgrades, Vietnam Airlines flight VN1380 from Ho Chi Minh City was the first commercial flight to land, signifying the airport's return to domestic service.
