After 9 PM, the military vehicles, split into two convoys, left Mieu Mon for central Hanoi to prepare for the A80 ceremony. The first convoy, consisting of tracked tanks and wheeled armored vehicles, followed the Xuan Mai - Thang Long Boulevard - My Dinh National Stadium - Pham Van Dong - Vo Chi Cong - Cua Bac route to the Ministry of National Defense headquarters. The second convoy, comprised of wheeled artillery vehicles from the navy and air defense forces, traveled from Mieu Mon to My Dinh National Stadium and then to the F1 racetrack.
Near 11 PM, the tank and armored vehicle convoy crossed the Le Quang Dao overpass as heavy rain began.

Tanks and armored vehicles were transported by specialized vehicles to the beginning of Nguyen Tri Phuong Street for assembly at the Ministry of National Defense headquarters. Military and police forces set up checkpoints along the route to ensure smooth traffic flow and guide citizens.

Due to the influence of a tropical depression, the rain moved from central Vietnam northward, causing heavy rainfall in northern Vietnam this week. From 20/8 to 23/8, the rain is expected to expand to the northern mountainous and midland regions due to the remnants of the tropical depression.

Two more combined rehearsals are scheduled for the evenings of 21/8 and 24/8 at Ba Dinh Square before the preliminary rehearsal, general rehearsal, and the official ceremony. This year's parade involves over 16,000 military personnel, including 43 marching units, 18 stationary units, and 14 military and special police vehicle units. After 40 years since the 1985 National Day parade, military vehicles, including tanks and armored vehicles, are returning to the formation. A naval parade will also be held for the first time in Khanh Hoa, with the participation of the navy, coast guard, border guard, and Military Region 5.
