Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha appointed deputy head of the Central Party Office

Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, vice president and secretary general of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, has been assigned by the Politburo to serve as deputy head of the standing office of the Central Party Office.

The decision on her assignment was announced at a conference chaired by Standing Secretariat member Tran Cam Tu. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha will relinquish her previous role as vice president and secretary general of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee to assume her new duties.

Nguyen Thi Thu Ha is 55 years old and hails from Ninh Binh. She holds a PhD in psychology and is an associate professor. She is a member of the 12th and 13th Central Party Committees and a National Assembly delegate for the 14th and 15th terms.

Her career includes serving as director of the Central Women's Cadre School, deputy secretary of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, and president of the Vietnam Women's Union. She then served as secretary of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee for three years. In 3/2023, she was nominated and elected vice president and secretary general of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee.

The Central Party Office is a strategic, critical, and confidential advisory body. It assists the Central Party Committee, particularly the Politburo and the Secretariat, in organizing and overseeing the Party's leadership activities. The office serves as the Party's central information and data hub. It also acts as the primary advisory point for coordinating the activities of the Central Party Committee and its affiliated Party organizations, and advises on and manages the Party's finances and assets, ensuring the necessary conditions for the Central Party Committee's operations.

The current head of the Central Party Office is Pham Gia Tuc. The office has four deputy heads: Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Le Khanh Toan, Vo Thanh Hung, and Dang Khanh Toan.
