Multi-vehicle accident on national highway, one dead

A truck collided with a container truck, which then overturned onto a motorcycle waiting to cross national highway 1 in Dong Hoa ward, resulting in one fatality and three injuries on the afternoon of 21/3.

At approximately 4:30 PM on 21/3, a multi-vehicle accident occurred on national highway 1 in Dong Hoa ward. The incident involved a Binh Thuan-registered truck, driven by Duong Quoc Trung, 32, and a container truck operated by Doan Van Thu, 40, from Tuy An commune. The collision happened as the container truck was making a U-turn into the opposing lane, causing it to overturn onto a motorcycle that was stopped, waiting to cross the road. The impact deformed the truck's cabin, trapping Trung and his co-driver.
