The expressway will begin at its connection point with the Ben Luc – Long Thanh expressway in Ho Chi Minh City, extend through the Mekong Delta provinces, and conclude at the Chau Doc – Can Tho – Soc Trang expressway. The total investment is estimated at over 68,000 billion VND, structured as a public-private partnership (PPP).
The project is divided into two phases. Phase one, with a total investment of nearly 29,000 billion VND, is expected to commence construction in late 2026 and be completed in about three years. Phase two will develop the remaining section, spanning more than 77 km, connecting from National Route 57 to the Ben Luc – Long Thanh expressway.
Upon completion, the expressway will establish a major transport artery, alleviating congestion on existing routes and fostering socio-economic development in the Southern region.
