Saigon - My Thuan Expressway BOT Co., Ltd., the project's investor, has proposed two quarries: Andesit Nui Dai Lon, located in Tri Ton and O Lam communes, spans 70 hectares with an estimated reserve of 30 million cubic meters; and Ba Doi Granit quarry, in Chi Lang ward and Nui Cam commune, covering 37 hectares with a comparable reserve.

Following the investor's report, the Ministry of Construction has urged An Giang province to assist in resolving obstacles and expedite the completion of quarrying procedures to secure the project's material supply.
The nearly 100-kilometer expressway is slated for expansion to 6-8 lanes, including emergency shoulders, with an estimated total investment exceeding 36.000 billion VND. The project aims for completion in 2028. This vital route in the Mekong Delta will connect Ho Chi Minh City to Ca Mau.
More than three months after its groundbreaking, the project's implementation has faced delays despite contractors mobilizing personnel. The primary challenge is a shortage of essential materials, particularly rock and sand.
