On the afternoon of 2/7, Quang Minh Cuong, secretary of the Quang Ninh provincial party committee, presented the decision to reassign and appoint Nguyen Thi Thuy, director of the department of education and training, to join the executive committee and standing committee of the ward party committee. She will serve as secretary of the Hong Gai ward party committee for the 2025-2030 term.
Thuy was appointed director of the department of education and training, succeeding Vu Lien Oanh, who retired in November 2019. Previously, Thuy served as deputy head of the Quang Ninh provincial party committee’s propaganda department. In September 2016, she was appointed deputy director of the department of education and training, overseeing early childhood education, political ideology, vocational education, and continuing education.

Quang Minh Cuong, secretary of the provincial party committee, commended Thuy for her contributions in various roles, particularly in improving the province’s education quality.
Emphasizing Hong Gai’s status as a central ward crucial for the province’s economic, commercial, and tourism development, Cuong expressed confidence that in her new role, Thuy would continue to leverage her capabilities and qualities in all aspects of work. This includes enhancing the quality of party building and the political system, comprehensively developing socio-economic aspects, and maintaining the ward’s position as the province’s commercial and tourism hub.
Earlier, the provincial party committee’s organization board announced the standing committee’s resolution regarding the reassignment and appointment of Nguyen Viet Dung, director of the department of culture, sports and tourism, as director of the department of education and training. Additionally, Le Ngoc Thanh, secretary of the Hong Gai ward party committee, was appointed director of the department of culture, sports and tourism.
