On the morning of 25/8, Tran Vu Khiem, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Quang Tri Provincial National Assembly Delegation, led a delegation of officials to offer incense and flowers at General Vo Nguyen Giap's tomb in Vung Chua, Phu Trach commune.

Before the revered spirit of General Vo Nguyen Giap, the delegates expressed profound respect and gratitude for the general's immense contributions and sacrifices, as well as those of previous generations, to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

On the same day, at General Vo Nguyen Giap's memorial site in Le Thuy commune, many groups of officials, residents, and tourists visited to offer incense and pay tribute. The memorial site includes the house associated with the general's childhood, along with other constructed and restored structures. The three-bay wooden house, which was burned by French forces in 1947, was fully restored to its original state in 1977.

Tran Viet Hung, 30, from Ha Tinh, stated that this was his first visit to offer incense at the memorial site. After touring the simple house, living space, and memorabilia from the general's childhood, he shared, "I was deeply moved, feeling that the general was simple, approachable, and always devoted to his homeland."

General Vo Nguyen Giap (25/8/1911-4/10/2013) was born in Loc Thuy commune, Le Thuy district, in the former Quang Binh province, now Le Thuy commune, Quang Tri province. He became the first general of the Vietnam People's Army at just 37 years old. He held positions such as Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense, and Commander-in-Chief of the Vietnam People's Army.
