Truck crashes into five motorbikes in Ca Mau

A truck collided with five motorbikes and roadside stalls on National Highway 1, leaving the driver seriously injured and many people in a panic, on the afternoon of 2/4.

Around 4 PM, a truck, driven by a young man whose identity is being verified, was traveling on National Highway 1 from the old Ca Mau city center towards Cai Nuoc commune. Upon reaching the entrance of Bach Dang residential area, the vehicle struck a motorbike ridden by Mr. Vu Gia Luyen.

Following the initial collision, Mr. Luyen and his motorbike were thrown onto the roadside. The truck continued for nearly 100 meters, crashing into a sticky rice vendor's cart and two motorbikes parked in front of a repair shop, finally stopping after hitting an electrical pole along the road.

The incident left the front of the truck severely damaged. Two motorbikes were trapped underneath, while two others were flung onto the pavement. The sticky rice vendor's cart and several roadside vegetable stalls also sustained damage.

The driver was found unconscious and was removed from the cabin by residents, then taken to an emergency room.

Authorities later arrived at the scene to direct traffic, assess the damage, and initiate an investigation into the cause of the incident.
