Two deputy heads of Central Organization Commission step down

Deputy heads of the Central Organization Commission Hoang Dang Quang and Nguyen Quang Duong have been approved by the Politburo to step down from 1/3 and retire from 1/12/2026.

Hoang Dang Quang and Nguyen Quang Duong, both deputy heads of the Central Organization Commission, are set to step down from their posts on 1/3 and retire officially on 1/12/2026. This decision was approved by the Politburo at a session in early February, as announced by Hoang Trung Dung, another Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission, at a conference on the afternoon of 27/2. Both Quang and Duong were members of the 12th and 13th Central Committees and did not seek re-election for the 14th term.

In recognition of his contributions, Nguyen Quang Duong was awarded the first-class Labor Order. The Central Organization Commission itself also received the first-class Independence Order for its achievements in reforming the organizational structure.
