At 3:40 h today, an unlicensed motorcycle carrying two unidentified men and several dogs in sacks traveled on National Highway 1 in a north-south direction. Upon reaching the intersection with the Ky Anh bypass, the motorcycle collided with a passenger car, registered in Gia Lai, traveling in the opposite direction.

The motorcycle overturned, throwing the two men onto the road, where they died. The passenger car also ran over and killed 7 dogs that were in the sacks.
At the scene, the motorcycle was severely damaged, its front end shattered. Dog carcasses lay scattered from the sacks, alongside tools commonly used for dog theft. The passenger car sustained minor front-end damage, with its right headlight broken.
The Traffic Police Department of Ha Tinh Provincial Police, in coordination with Hoanh Son Ward Police, directed traffic. Authorities cleared the scene early this morning.

Authorities believe the two victims were likely dog theft suspects. Early this morning, they were transporting the stolen dogs for sale when the accident occurred.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
