Around 10h50, a specialized vehicle with a Hanoi license plate, carrying five Lexus cars and traveling on the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway towards Hanoi, experienced a fire in its rear tire.

The driver stopped the vehicle and attempted to extinguish the flames with a mini fire extinguisher, but was unsuccessful. He then drove the vehicle for over one kilometer to the V23 rest stop, located in Hung Yen province.

As soon as the vehicle stopped, the fire intensified at the rear and quickly spread to the cars on both levels of the carrier cage. At least three Lexus vehicles were destroyed, with a column of black smoke rising tens of meters high.

The driver managed to separate the tractor from the burning trailer. Many people at the rest stop used water hoses to assist in fighting the fire. By approximately 11h30, the blaze was brought under control.

Each Lexus car on the specialized vehicle was valued at over 4 billion VND.
