Hang Ma Mid-Autumn market

The Old Quarter's traditional Mid-Autumn market for 2026 is located on Hang Ma Street, stretching from the intersection of Hang Ma - Hang Duong to Hang Ma - Hang Cot. It will operate until 25/9. Stalls are set up along both sides of the street, showcasing children's toys, decorations, traditional handicrafts, and mooncakes.

The market operates from 7 AM to midnight, with cars prohibited and moto restricted during certain hours, allowing space for pedestrians to visit, shop, and participate in Mid-Autumn activities. Photo: Tam Anh

"Old Quarter moon story" Mid-Autumn event

From 27/8 to 30/9, a series of traditional Mid-Autumn cultural activities themed "Old Quarter moon story" will take place at six Hanoi heritage sites. These include: the Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center at 50 Dao Duy Tu, the Center for Culture and Arts at 22 Hang Buom, the Heritage House at 87 Ma May, the historical site at 40 Lan Ong, Ho Guom Cultural Information Center at 2 Le Thai To, and the historical site at 28 Hang Buom.

Activities include: making mooncakes, learning about folk toys, enjoying tea, incense, and handicrafts. At 8 PM on Mid-Autumn day (25/9), the "Old Quarter moon night" procession will take place at Hoan Kiem Lake pedestrian street. Cafes

Many cafes, such as Ban Cong on Dinh Liet Street, Gac on Hang Chieu Street, Waha on Nguyen Van Giap Street, and Cheka in Duong Noi Urban Area, have invested in Mid-Autumn themed decorations, attracting visitors for photos.

Restaurants and eateries

Many restaurants are also decorated with a Mid-Autumn theme, including Quan An Ngon and Bep Hoa Cuisine, featuring lantern corners, traditional toys, and five-fruit trays. Shopping centers

Major shopping centers in Hanoi, such as Aeon Mall, Royal City, Hanoi Center, and The Loop, all feature Mid-Autumn themed decorations. Many stalls, promotional activities, and workshops for painting masks and lanterns, as well as lion dances, attract families. Phung Hung mural street

Near Hang Ma, Phung Hung mural street is another Mid-Autumn destination with decorative corners featuring a nostalgic style. Hundreds of traditional lanterns hang along the street, and stalls display traditional Mid-Autumn toys.
