In December 2025, the Maextro S800 electric sedan, a collaboration between Huawei and JAC, outsold the combined sales of the Porsche Panamera, BMW 7 series, and Maybach S-class in China. It emerged as the best-selling luxury sedan in the segment priced above 700,000 yuan (100,000 USD).
Maextro S800 deliveries in China began in August 2025, with a starting price of 708,000 yuan (101,310 USD). The premium S800 version is priced at 1,018,000 yuan (145,665 USD). This premium vehicle competes with both domestic and international rivals.

The Maextro S800 achieved record sales of 4,376 units, a 104% increase from the previous month. The Porsche Panamera ranked second with 1,593 units sold.
Overall, the Maextro S800 outsold the combined figures of the Porsche Panamera, BMW 7 series, and Maybach S-class. These three models ranked second, third, and fourth respectively, with total sales reaching 4,140 units.
In contrast, other Chinese luxury sedans did not achieve high rankings. The BYD Yangwang U7 sold 333 units in the same month, while Nio sold 185 units of its flagship ET9 model. The Maextro S800's clear superiority in the premium segment is attributed to Huawei's extensive HIMA sales network.
According to the latest data from CarNewsChina, total Maextro S800 deliveries have reached 11,453 units.
The Maextro S800 is a large sedan jointly developed by JAC and Huawei. Its dimensions are 5,480 mm long, 2,000 mm wide, and 1,536 mm high, with a wheelbase of 3,370 mm. The S800's cabin features a 15.6-inch touchscreen, complemented by a larger 16-inch screen for the front passenger. The Maextro S800's rear windows can be dimmed with a hand gesture.
The electric version of the Maextro S800 is equipped with a dual-motor system producing 523 horsepower and a 95 kWh battery, offering a 702 km range under CLTC conditions. An extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) version is also available with two powertrain options: a dual-motor setup and a three-cylinder engine. This version also includes a 1.5-liter generator and a 65 kWh battery, providing an electric range of 365-400 km.
