A representative for TMT, the official distributor of Wuling vehicles in Vietnam, confirmed this information. Wuling dealerships are currently accepting deposits for the new model. The Wuling Darion will be the second multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) from the Chinese automaker to be sold in Vietnam, following the Grango, which is positioned between the compact and mid-size segments and is priced at 499 million VND, making it one of the most affordable MPVs available.
In China, the Darion is known as the Xingguang 730. It features a traditional MPV design with a boxy profile extending from the sides to the rear. It comes with two sliding rear doors: the left-side door is manually operated, while the right-side door is electrically controlled.

Measuring 4,910 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, and 1,770 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,910 mm, the Darion is classified as a mid-size MPV. Its dimensions are most comparable to the Hyundai Custin, a gasoline-powered MPV that measures 4,950 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, 1,725 mm in height, and has a 3,055 mm wheelbase.
While the Grango features a simple and practical design, the Darion presents a more refined and modern aesthetic. In China, the vehicle is equipped with MacPherson front suspension and a multi-link independent rear suspension. Standard features include 17-inch wheels and disc brakes on all wheels.
TMT has not yet released information or images of the Darion's interior design and features. In its home market, the Darion is equipped with a floating instrument cluster and a 12,8-inch central control screen. The interior space offers various modes, such as "nap" and "camping", designed to accommodate a range of daily usage needs.
The vehicle features a 7-seat configuration in a 2+2+3 arrangement. The front seats in the Wuling model can recline 180 degrees, allowing occupants to lie flat for rest. The second-row seats are equipped with dual armrests and offer multiple angle adjustments for enhanced comfort.

The Wuling Darion offers 25 storage compartments throughout the vehicle. The third-row seats have an electric folding function, allowing the backrests to fold down and the cushions to lift, which increases the luggage compartment volume from 315 liters to 1,202 liters.
Regarding its powertrain, TMT announced that the Darion will be available with two options: a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) and an all-electric vehicle (EV). The EV variant specifically offers two range options: 450 km and 500 km.
In China, the EV versions of the Darion achieve a range of 500 km (CLTC standard) on a full charge of their 60 kWh battery. The vehicle is front-wheel drive, powered by a motor producing 134 hp and 200 Nm of torque.
The PHEV version combines a 1,5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine, delivering 106 hp and 130 Nm of torque, with an electric motor that produces 194 hp and 230 Nm of torque. This configuration provides an all-electric range of 125 km and a combined range of 1,100 km (CLTC).
TMT has not yet released pricing details for the Wuling Darion. However, dealerships are providing estimated prices of around 750 million VND for the 450 km EV variant and 820 million VND for the 500 km EV variant. Currently, other all-electric mid-size MPVs in Vietnam include the VinFast Limo Green (749 million VND), MPV 7 (819 million VND), and BYD M6 (756 million VND). The Hyundai Custin, a petrol-powered MPV with dimensions similar to the Darion, is priced between 820 and 974 million VND.
