For the 2026 academic year, Van Hien University continues its transcript-based admission method. Specifically, candidates who have full grade 12 results can apply using their total scores from a three-subject combination across grades 10, 11, and 12, provided they achieve 18 points or more (including priority points or bonus points, if any).

For candidates who graduated high school in 2025 or earlier, the university applies an admission method based on the grade 12 annual average score multiplied by three, with a minimum requirement of 18 points (including priority points or bonus points, if any).

According to a university representative, by mid-may, most grade 12 students have completed their second-semester exams and received their academic results for the entire school year. This is when many candidates nationwide review their scores and prepare university applications through the high school academic transcript (hoc ba) admission method.

For the new academic year, Van Hien University is implementing a range of financial aid policies. A notable initiative is the "companion scholarship" program, available to candidates who complete their transcript-based admission application procedures before 30/5.

The university will allocate scholarship amounts based on admission results. Candidates achieving 18 to under 25 points will receive 30% tuition support for the first semester, while those achieving 25 to 30 points will receive up to 50% tuition support for the first semester.

Additionally, to honor outstanding individuals and encourage global integration skills, the university continues to offer valuable scholarships for new students. The valedictorian will receive one 100% tuition scholarship for the entire program. The two salutatorians will receive two 50% tuition scholarships for the entire program. The university also offers 43 scholarships worth 30% of tuition for valedictorians of specific majors.

The "Van Hien quintessence" scholarship is for candidates who prioritize Van Hien University as their first choice on the Ministry of Education and Training's information portal and achieve the highest admission scores. This scholarship includes: two scholarships covering 80% of tuition, five scholarships covering 50% of tuition, and 30 scholarships covering 20% of tuition for the entire program.

The university also awards the "global citizen" scholarship: 100% tuition support for the first year for 20 candidates who hold an IELTS certificate of 6,5 or higher (or equivalent international foreign language certificates).
