ATM fiercely catches fire on Ca Mau street

An ATM belonging to Military Bank (MBBank), located in front of the Ca Mau Border Guard Command headquarters, suddenly caught fire on the morning of 9/5, resulting in its near complete destruction.

Around 6:30 AM, residents passing by Ngo Quyen street, An Xuyen ward, observed smoke and flames rising from an ATM booth situated on the sidewalk. They promptly reported the incident to authorities.

At the scene, the fire erupted from inside the machine, quickly engulfing the entire ATM and its overhead canopy. A column of black smoke rose high, and burning plastic and external materials fell onto the sidewalk.

Firefighting forces deployed specialized vehicles and personnel to extinguish the blaze. The fire was brought under control after about 30 minutes.

The incident severely damaged the ATM, leaving only its metal frame. As the fire occurred early on a weekend morning in an area with minimal traffic, there was no impact on traffic flow.

Authorities are investigating the cause.
