Shortly after 1 h, a fire erupted at a shoe store on Hoang Minh Dao street, located within Nhi Thien Duong market. Many residents attempted to extinguish the flames but were unsuccessful. Fueled by flammable materials, the fire rapidly spread to three adjacent buildings, which also housed clothing and shoe stores.

Numerous fire trucks and dozens of firefighters were deployed to the scene. Firefighters deployed hoses to extinguish the blaze and prevent its spread to the main market hall. The fire was brought under control after more than 30 minutes, but it destroyed significant furniture and goods.

A representative from the Binh Dong Ward People's Committee stated that there were no casualties. Four houses within the market sustained severe damage.
