Around 6 p.m. on 24/3, a fire broke out on the second floor of house number 3, alley 218, Linh Nam street, Hoang Mai ward. Due to numerous flammable materials inside, the blaze rapidly spread, with flames and smoke billowing out through the windows.
At the time of the fire, seven people were inside the house. Some managed to escape, while others found their main exit blocked by fire and smoke. Witnesses reported seeing trapped individuals waving through windows for help, but nearby residents were unable to reach the upper floors.
The homeowner's son climbed onto the roof of an adjacent building under construction, then jumped onto the burning house's roof, breaking through the corrugated roof to bring the trapped people out.
