General Secretary To Lam, chairing a Secretariat meeting on 24/2 regarding the organization of Tet Binh Ngo 2026, praised the responsibility demonstrated by Party committees, Party organizations, authorities, the Fatherland Front, armed forces, cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers. They diligently followed the Secretariat's directives, ensuring the public enjoyed a joyful, warm, and safe Tet holiday, thus fostering a positive spirit for the new year.
However, the General Secretary emphasized the demanding tasks ahead, urging agencies and units to promptly resume normal operations and prevent work delays. Party committees and authorities must diligently work from the year's beginning. He stressed, "Absolutely do not allow prolonged spring festivities or neglect of duties, and do not let the 'January is for leisure' mindset persist within the political system." Administrative discipline and public service ethics must be strictly enforced.
Leaders of units and localities must set an example, ensuring their actions match their words, and will be held directly responsible for any stagnation or delays in resolving issues for citizens and businesses.

General Secretary To Lam requested that, in the first Quarter of 2026, agencies must complete the thorough understanding and supplementation of the action program to implement the Resolution of the 14th National Congress throughout the Party. They must also successfully organize elections for delegates to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, scheduled for 15/3. Competent authorities also need to prepare for the organization of the second Central Committee meeting and finalize the agenda for the first session of the 16th National Assembly.
