On 2/5, Do Chi Khoi, chairman of the People's Committee of Kim Long commune, announced that police, militia, and rescue teams mobilized many vehicles and personnel to search the lake area, but the victim has not yet been found.
According to initial information, on the morning of 1/5, Mr. Kim and another man from Ha Noi drove from their factory to Da Den lake, about 3 km away, bringing two paddleboards to cross to the opposite shore.

After resting, drinking water, and taking photos, both returned to their starting point. Mr. Kim was paddling behind, but when they were halfway back, his companion lost sight of him and reported it to authorities.
Immediately, over 100 people from various forces were mobilized, using canoes, diving equipment, and dragging nets for a wide-area search. Rescue efforts continued continuously overnight.

Da Den lake spans about 250 ha with a capacity of over 33 million m3, extending across Kim Long, Ngai Giao, and Tan Thanh communes. It serves as a freshwater source for daily life and production, and in recent years, it has become a popular spot for tourists to visit, camp, and paddleboard.
